Join us on Wednesday, November 9 at 11:30 am for a delicious lunch prepared by Jenny West and stories of the Wright Brothers in Alabama by Julie Williams, author of Wings of Opportunity. Deck the Halls Sunday Nov. 20
On Sunday, Nov. 20, we will “Deck the Halls” from 4:30-6:30 PM, so come bring your family and a crock pot of soup to share.
Praise Kids will rehearse at 4:30 PM and when they are done will have the opportunity to make a Christmas craft and to pack a Christmas treat for our BackPack Buddies at Vincent Elementary School. Grown-ups and youth will work on decorating the sanctuary, narthex, and other spaces for Advent and Christmas.
At 6:00 PM we will share a meal of soup (with cornbread and dessert provided by the church) and the joy of experiencing the coming of Advent together.
Make plans now to be a part of this special day!

Children's Christmas Program Dec. 4
Hey kids...there is still time to be a part of this fun Christmas musical for children age 4k through 5th grade. We will present The Christmas Present after worship on December 4. We rehearse on Sunday evenings as part of our regular children’s programming, and we would love for you to join the fun!

TUESDAY MORNING LADIES BIBLE STUDY
The Ladies Bible Study meets in the Farkas Room on Tuesday mornings at 10 AM for study, fellowship, and service. Each week we fill our Backpack Buddy Bags for Vincent Elementary students and spend time in discussion. This fall we are studying A Year of Biblical Womanhood by Rachel Held Evans. On November 8, we will discuss Chapter 10 (July). We would love for you to join us!

TAN FALL FESTIVAL
Thursday, October 27 at 6:00 p.m.
Dear Church Family,
Thank you so much for all your help with the Fall Festival. It was so much fun for us all! We had around 140 participants who ate Mack’s almost famous spaghetti! It was so good! I heard so many compliments about the great food.
Thank you to Troy and Robin for sharing their time and talents. First Christian Church is so kind to support TAN in so many ways. I know if I listed them all I would forget one or more. We are so blessed to be here at FCC! We are thankful for you all. Enjoy the holidays with your family and friends.

Our students are excited about the opportunity to spend time together and grow in their faith as they learn to follow Jesus more fully. And we all know it just wouldn't be the same without food, right? We would appreciate it if you would consider signing up for a meal one week. We are using sign-up genius to help track each week and we think it will make everything simpler. All you have to do is click the link below for a list of available dates, choose one that works for you and sign up. You're welcome to team up with others, just choose a point person to sign up. Please remember, if you would like to be reimbursed, save your receipts and give them to Donnette Mee or Robin Blakemore and we'll make sure you get a check.
