Hi everyone

1) Sunshine Groupe Update

Christian Buxton, Genreal Manager, Sunshine Groupe, 28/10/16 provided the following response to actions from the previous BCRG forum.

WITHOUT PREJUDICE

270716_4: Sunshine Groupe to provide an update on the progress/timeline of the stockpile reclamation - approx. October.
Road modifications to access top of Cell 5
Water supply to Cell 5 work front – including installation of two new water tanks.
Emergency access to Cell 5
Pad for work front on cell 5 complete
Test holes into cell 5 dug
Series of processing trials done away from top surface.
Recycling plant upgrades
Further modifications to Cell 5 access.

Please note that work in earnest in terms of excavating done from  Cell 5 have been pushed back due to:
Bund wall extension works to the active Cell 6 – 6 -8 weeks.
Wet weather stalling these works and making access difficult
And exceptional out of season strong northerly winds.

270716_6: Sunshine Groupe to provide further detail regarding the dust control measures for the stockpiles during the reclamation process.

The older stockpiles are covered with an interim 1m of soil and include grass coverage so there is no dust being blown off these stockpiles as pictured below.

With reference to Cell 5 stockpile which has been identified as the target are for future rehab works the following measures have been put in place for dust management.
  • The excavation will take place within a bunded excavation point minimising exposure to wind.
  • As explained earlier water tanks have been installed to supply water to sprays that will wet the material down when being loaded.
  • The material will be processed thru them and the  processing and rehab plant that is below the subsurface and not exposed to the winds.
This process of re-mining is new and there will be process of learning and development which will mean the process will be slow to begin with but we believe this process
And pace is prudent to avoid any risks both from a safety and environmental point of view.
