How We Define Ourselves
For months, we've been asking you to tell us what "being a spouse means." Or for that matter, what it means to be a veteran, a service provider, a researcher, a Mil Kid... We want to bridge the gap between civilians and our community, defining for ourselves what it means to be a part of the military and veteran family. So go ahead, tell us! We'll be sharing your answers all month on the VSN Facebook Page

Changing with the Seasons
Fall is officially here, and we have a ton of incredible updates to share with all of you.
Our Annual Steering Committee Meeting took place in Austin late September, where committee members also participated in a panel on spouse experiences at UT Austin's Military Social Work Conference. To us, being a spouse means to "amplify," to advocate for place at the table and share our experiences with researchers, providers, and policymakers. Check our website for meeting recaps.
You told us, and we listened! Moving forward, VSN will focus its advocacy efforts on the 3 categories you told us matter most:
Stay tuned for info on support programs we are helping to develop on all 3 issues!
As always, for all that you and your family have done to serve this country.
With gratitude,
