Concert - We're ready to "Hit the Road"

Tonight our students get to show off all their hard work over the last few weeks with their performance of "Hit the Road".  If you've forgotten to get your tickets their will be some available at the door.

A reminder that students need to arrive at Eastbank between 6pm- 6.15pm. Doors will open to the public at 6.30pm for a 7pm start. We ask that children do not have coloured hair spray as the spray stains our costumes.

Raffle tickets
Tickets are $2.00 and the raffle will be drawn at the Family Fun Night on November 24th. Additional books are available from the office.  Please note that first prize is an iPad Air 2 not the iPad mini as shown on the tickets.

This year the magazine will be professionally printed and will be available to families at a cost of $10.00 per copy.  The magazine will be available the last week of term and needs to pre ordered; order forms were sent home last week, additional forms are available at the office.

Family Fun Night
This year's Family Fun Night will be bigger and better than ever!  Come along and have a fun night with your family from 5pm-7pm. We will have lots of different stalls including, jumping castle, photo booth, guess the teacher, cup cake decorating, Mooroopna Idol and many more. We look forward to seeing you all there.

Remembrance Day
Student leaders will be attending the Remembrance Day Service at the Centotaph on Friday. They will leave school at 10.00am and will return at approximately 11.30am.
Poppies are currently being sold each day by the student leaders for a gold coin.

The school's Sun Smart Policy requires hats to be worn during term 1 & 4. Please ensure your child has a clearly named, navy, wide brimmed hat. Students without a hat will need to stay in the undercover area during lunch and recess.

2017 Enrolments
Do you have a child to enrol or know of a new family who will be enrolling a student at MPS in 2017? We are now taking enrolments. New families to the school are encouraged to contact the office to organise an appointment to be given a tour around the school. Families with siblings already attending MPS can call into the office to pick up an enrolment pack and advise the office staff of the new student's details.

ELF Day
On Tuesday  we went on a community walk. The people who went was the grade ones and the foundation classes. We went to the Church, Verong Vittles and Peter's Takeaway shop. It was a great day and the people who read books to us were really nice. We had four foundation students come in our group with Miss P. We all dressed up as book characters. Peter's Takeaway shop was our last stop and then we walked back to school. It was the best day ever!

Weekly eSmart Tip
Unwanted Contact:
Unwanted contact is any type of online communication that you find unpleasant or confronting. This could be messages from someone you met online who starts asking personal questions or sends you photos that are upsetting or that you don’t like. The contact can come from online and/or offline friends or people you don't know. Unwanted contact can include: being asked inappropriate or personal questions by someone you don’t know, being sent offensive, confronting or obscene content or being asked to send intimate pictures or do things online that make you feel uncomfortable. Parents need to understand the issues, know how to respond and where to go for help. Tell your child to not respond and immediately leave the site or chat session and report it to an adult they trust or to the police if there is a threat to their safety. Help your child report and block the contact or remove them from their friends list. Change their profile settings so that their personal details are kept private. Don’t open messages from people they don’t know. Keep the evidence. This can be useful in tracking the person posting unsuitable material. Contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP) and/or telephone provider, or the website administrator.
