The Presidential Election
I have several friends who despise Trump but are voting for him. Their reasoning is that the next president may appoint five Supreme Court justices.
Yes, that is important. However, Trump is so immoral that I could not trust him to do anything right. I have already voted by absentee ballot. I did not leave the place blank, because a “no” vote in Idaho would be a nominal vote Trump. I voted for Ted Cruz. That may count for nothing, but I was not willing to vote for either candidate. I am not required to choose between two evils.
This is why I am into evangelism instead of politics. I suppose it's possible to compromise the gospel, but it is a requirement to compromise in politics.
"Therefore, let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in this time of need" (Heb. 4:16).
