PLYMOUTH PLAN
During the joint engagement (with South Hams and West Devon) the three councils received approximately 3,000 comments and in Plymouth specifically 1 859 comments were received from 1, 150 contributors. We also received additional comments on the draft area vision documents which focused on the three areas of Plymouth we’re likely to see the most change during the lifetime of the Plan: the City Centre and Waterfront; Derriford and the Northern Corridor and the Eastern Corridor.

At the moment The Plymouth Plan team are currently writing a summary report which will highlight the key issues which came from the engagement and the team are using those comments to help write the Plymouth and South West Devon Joint Local Plan as well as finalising the evidence base.

The next consultation on the Joint Local Plan/Plymouth Plan, which will be very formal and under strict regulations, is currently scheduled for February 2017. This will be the last chance for everyone to have their say before the team submit the final Plan to be examined. If all goes well all three councils will adopt the plan in Autumn 2017.
