Join GWL and the Defense & Intel Club for a Coffee Chat with Nina Wagner, Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD)

Nina Wagner is a Senior Strategy Advisor in the U.S. Department of Defense's Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) for Policy. Prior to this role, she was the Country Director for the United Kingdom, advising senior Department of Defense (DoD) officials on the U.S.-U.K. defense relationship and colleagues across the DoD on strategy and policy aspects of U.S.-U.K. defense cooperation. Ms. Wagner has previously served as a Global Defense Posture Advisor and Afghanistan Country Director within OSD (Policy). As an OSD Presidential Management Fellow, Ms. Wagner worked in several different offices within the DoD and the Department of State, to include the Joint Staff Strategic Plans and Policy Directorate, OSD (Comptroller), the U.S. Embassy in Kabul, and the Department of State East Asia Bureau.

Graduate Summer Associate at the New York Fed
The Graduate Summer Associate Program provides outstanding students with the opportunity to gain valuable work experience in public service at the New York Fed. The program is a direct feeder for the Bank’s full-time associate rotational programs. Deadline: November 1. (More information)

Local Evaluator, Women's Leadership in Small and Medium Enterprises Impact Evaluation at Management Systems International (MSI)
The Local Evaluator will support the MSI evaluation team in the endline phase for the evaluation, starting on or about February 1, 2017. The Evaluator may be based in Chennai, but most of the field work will take place in the Panruti block of Cuddalore district. Expertise in qualitative research methods and data collection, as well as research experience relevant to women’s leadership in SME is required. Deadline: November 4. (More information)

Johns Hopkins Venture Capital Investment Competition 2016 for Graduate Students
Students play the role of VCs who have around $100MM to invest in one of the startups presenting. They’ll be assessing the investment opportunities and pitching an investment strategy to the VC judges. Learn more about the competition via http://www.vcic.org/. Deadline to register: November 4.

Women's Empowerment Intern at Center for International Private Enterprise
The Women's Entrepreneurship Staff Working Group is responsible for advising and assisting CIPE's regional teams in the development and implementation of women-specific programs around the world. Applications accepted until November 18th. (More information)

WiSe (Women in Security) Leadership Initiative
American Security Project’s WiSe Leadership Initiative provides women 30 and under with unique opportunities to build the expertise, skills, and network necessary to lead on key global issues as the next generation of policymakers and problem solvers. Deadline: November 24 (More information)

Communications Officer at Women's Refugee Commission 

The Women's Refugee Commission improves the lives and protects the rights of women, children and youth displaced by conflict and crisis. They research their needs, identify solutions and advocate for programs and policies to strengthen their resilience and drive change in humanitarian practice. (More information)

East Africa Regional Office Lead & East Global Corp Fellowship Director at Walker's Legacy Foundation
Walker’s Legacy International, the newly formed global arm of Walker’s Legacy, focuses on connecting women throughout the African diaspora with opportunities to increase their professional skills, experience and networks to aid in growth and advancement. (More information)
