Parsons Dance is on Tour!

The company is on a 20-city tour of the United States! We're thrilled to be welcomed into so many communities and have loved getting to know our audiences. We've been performing Parsons Dance classics such as Nascimento and Caught as well as recent new works, including
Finding Center and Almah.

David Parsons' most anticipated new work, which explores sophisticated robotics in flight, will premier as part of Next Move Dance's 16-17 season at The Prince Theater in Philadelphia, PA. This piece has been developed with Drexel University’s ExCITe Center, where a team of engineers is working to create and program drones for the stage.

"Basically, the evolution of technology is what I'm looking at.
Man and machine. How it's going to change, and how it already
has in so many ways.
"  - David Parsons

Outreach and Education

Parsons Dance has conducted 17 outreach engagements so far this season!
The dancers have led community master classes, student performances, and lecture demonstrations all across the country.  We have also created a specialized outreach program for children and adults on the autism spectrum, which includes workshops and Relaxed Performances.  This incredibly powerful and meaningful work allows people of all abilities to participate in and appreciate the joys of dance.

Parsons is Teaching at the 92nd Street Y!
David and the dancers will be teaching a captivating and rigorous professional class every Monday at 10AM in a new ongoing master class series. Single class and series-long attendance is available.
