WHAT COLOUR SHOULD YOUR BRAND BE? ... and does it matter?
So you're thinking about getting a brand-spanking new brand. Here's a question that many people get stuck on; what colour should our logo be?
There's been tons of article, infographics and "studies" dedicated to answering this question. But does it really matter? UPS, for example has colours that make no sense for its company. Even some local brands, such as Steers use questionable colour choices (most restaurants are red because it makes you hungrier).
So should you care? Well, yes you should. But you also shouldn't agonise over it for weeks. Things such as colours, typography and iconography should be used to augment the right message and resonate with the people viewing it.
But these things should never be viewed as all-powerful business generators. They come together to build something unique.
We have a nifty article about this on our blog - you should check it out!
