75 Years of Bible Translation!
Wycliffe was founded in 1942 by William Cameron Townsend and is currently celebrating it's 75th year anniversary. We have been so encouraged by learning about the history of Wycliffe and the impact that Bible Translation has had on people around the world.

Did you know...?
In 1982, Wycliffe created a prayer project so that all of the remaining languages still needing Scripture would have people committed to praying for them? That means there have been many people praying faithfully for the language group we will serve (whoever they may be!). That also means that our family, and all of you who partner with us in our Wycliffe ministry, will be an answer to those prayers! What an amazing God we serve! Papua New Guinea Facts:
- Population of ~7 million
- About the same size as California
- One of the most rural countries in the world with most people living in small communities where subsistence-based agriculture is common
- One of the least explored countries in the world - many plant an animal species likely remain undiscovered
- One of the most diverse countries in the world with ~800 different languages spoken. The trade language of Tok Pisin is used most widely (and will be the first language we learn).
