Spiritridge Panther Pacers
We are off the ground and running!  Literally!  The running club is open to all Spiritridge students. We meet on Tuesdays during afternoon recess and on Friday mornings before school, 8:10-8:40 am. During these times, students are able to run (or walk) laps around the playground. The students earn prizes for every 5 miles that they run and earn a marathon medal once they run 26.2 miles during the club times.  We need adult volunteers to pass out the tracking cards, mark off laps as they are completed, and hand out prizes.  Please visit the sign-up genius link to see if you can help out.

Notes: Volunteers must have completed a BSD volunteer application.  Students running on Friday mornings without a parent present must have turned in a permission form.

Academic Challenge

Yes, we are having the Academic Challenge again this year at Spiritridge!  The Academic Challenge is a way to encourage students to challenge themselves with educational activities outside of school.  We are making some changes to the program, so please check the website in coming weeks for more information and sign ups.  Participation in the Reflections Art program is still one of the optional activities (making sure that you are following all of the requirements of the Reflections Program) to count towards the Arts requirement as it has been in the past.  Information will be on the website soon, and flyers will be coming home. Please contact  academicchallenge@spiritridge.org with any questions.

Reflections Update and Gallery Night

Good Luck to the 140 students that submitted art for the Reflections Art Competition!  Judging will take place next week and Gallery Night (display of all submissions and interactive art stations) will take place in conjunction with the Book Fair on Tuesday, November 1st.

Volunteers are still needed to help with the remaining activities.  Please open the SignUp Genius and fill in where you can help out.

Spiritridge Staff Appreciation

THANK YOU Fifth Grade Spiritridge Families! Thank you to everyone who participated and/or braved the dark and rainy morning to send in breakfast items for Wednesday’s Staff Appreciation Breakfast. We had a plentiful assortment of yummy foods for the teachers and staff to enjoy. We even had napkins, flowers and lots of coffee! The donations were very much appreciated by teachers and staff! THANK YOU!

Spiritridge Community! Please watch for future Staff Appreciation Events! Before the end of 2016, we will be hosting other grade level meals as well as a Holiday Cookie Drive.

Staff Appreciation is a PTSA effort. In September, SA provided a day-before-school meal for staff as well as dinner on curriculum night. If you would be like to be involved with SA efforts, please contact
