Year 3 Camp 2016
What an amazing time Year 3 had recently! On Thursday morning, children arrived at school with airbeds, sleeping bags and suitcases. Four wonderful parents came to help with the activities the children were soon to enjoy. On the bus and we were off to Blue Gum Lodge! One aim of going to this camp was to promote friendships between the children by allowing them to be with others who may have been outside their usual friendship group. Another aim was to develop skills necessary for working successfully in a team.

Year 5 Excursion to Australiana Pioneer Village
On the first day back of Term 4, Year 5 went on an excursion to Australiana Pioneer Village in Wilberforce. This experience was to introduce students to their new History unit “Australian Colonies” and give them firsthand experience of what it was like to live back during early Australian pioneering days. They learnt to churn butter, watch sheep shearing, observe Blacksmith tools, watch a Spinning Wheel, work a Water Pump and wash clothes using a Hand Ringer.
