Girl you CAN do it was a huge success. We were able to inspire around 300 high school girls to stay in school and dream of the career that they would like to follow. Guest speakers shared their stories of success and allowed the girls to ask questions about challenges which they may be battling with to help them achieve their career dreams.
This was followed by lunch and a fashion show with the girls wanting to become models- featuring some of the designer outfits donated by Michael Maven. One girl even won a mentorship from Audrey Chabalala and a photo shoot from One Two Photography. All of the girls then got brand new designer clothing from Michael Maven and loved every minute of it!

Seeds for Life is up and running and our seeds have started to germinate. Soon the families involved in our 18 veggie gardens will be harvesting fresh veggies grown in their very own back yards to feed their families. Its almost that time of the year again and we are getting ready to bless parents to bless their children this Christmas. For many people Christmas is the most special time of the year filled with love, joy, laughter, family, Jesus, and presents.- but for many children it is just another day because both their parents and "Santa" have forgotten them. We are determined to change that and to provide parents with presents to give to their children this Christmas to ensure all children wake up to something this Christmas.
We are collecting Christmas Shoe Boxes this year to give to children whose parents may not be able to buy them even a small gift this year. We ask that each box is filled with an age appropriate new toy(gender neutral if possible) and sweets to the value of R80. It must then be put into a shoe box or similar box and wrapped. We ask that you keep to roughly R80 per box and only 1 gift so as to ensure that all children in each household gets a similar present. You can also elect to provide us with the funds to create such boxes.
We need all boxes by Friday 2 December as we will be distributing them on Saturday 3 December.
We will be packing boxes together in Fourways on 26 November from 9:30-11:30. Come ready to wrap!
