Dear Friends, Colleagues and Partners,

This month DRM is truly global. The DRM presence at ABU General Assembly in Bali, Indonesia is definitely among the highlights of the month. The medium wave DRM demo organised by RRI on this occasion from its Denpasar transmitter will run special content linked to the this great annual event of the Asia-Pacific region.

In parallel, the Consortium was present with expert input, including on the emergency warning functionality of DRM, at the Caribbean Broadcasting Union (CBU) General Assembly, held, for the first time, in Cuba. To support the presentations, both events benefitted from live DRM transmissions in short wave too.

If you could receive any of these transmissions please let us know.  To date we have received reports from the USA (Atlanta and Washington DC) and Colombia (Bogota).  Thanks to members of the DRMNA group.

If you are interested in the debate of IP versus terrestrial broadcasting you will find a few thoughts in this blog.

Have you had a chance to check the newly relaunched drm.org site with a revamped India page? Your feedback is eagerly awaited projectoffice@drm.org

By the end of October we will have collected all nominations for our Asia-Pacific Enterprise Award. So you have a last chance to hear about the best entrepreneurs willing to promote the standard and create receiver solutions.

Please do not forget to join us on Twitter, YouTube and Flickr.

Finally, if you want to join the Consortium, please contact projectoffice@drm.org.

Moreover, a number of countries have introduced such radio digitization in India, Saudi Arabia, countries in the Middle East region, including Australia and Malaysia that lead to implement DRM.

In some countries digitizing radio format, he added, there are two versions of DRM and the "Digital Audio Broadcasting" (DAB) imposed by Singapore.

"But in Asia Pacific were more likely to choose DRM," he added.  See article here  (original script in Indonesian).
