As we head into Thanksgiving season, we're continually grateful for everyone on our partnership team! Thank you for being a faithful part of what God is doing in the next generation. Here are the stories from this past month:
Fall Campus Retreat

We were so excited to take 30 students from San Marcos (including three college guys that some of you sponsored) to meet up with over 160 students from around Texas for our Fall Regional Retreat. The weekend included teaching, worship, team-building activities, and opportunities for students to get more plugged-in with our ministry. From this retreat, five our students gave their lives to the Lord! Thank you sending us to reach students for Christ, and please pray for continued fruit in these students' lives.

Reaching International Students

Estobraq and Ali in our kitchen as they explained their openness to Christianity
Last month, I told you the story of meeting Estobraq and Ali, a young couple who moved from Saudi Arabia in August to study at Texas State University. Estobraq is 9 months pregnant (her baby girl is due this month), and they were very eager to build some friendships before she is born.

Over the past two months, we have been blown away at the work God is doing in Estobraq and Ali. They come to church every Sunday (even when we are out of town), and we hang out often, including spending time in each other's homes. Last week during dinner at our house, we finally approached the conversation of why they feel so comfortable to be around Christians and our church. Estobraq said, "When you first invite me, I call my mom. I say, 'Nice Christians invite us to American religious ritual.' My mom cry and say, 'Go with them. Jesus will help you.' So we come.'"

Last night, Estobraq and Ali attended our weekly Bible study for the first time, and we downloaded the Bible verses on our computer for them to read in Arabic. Please continue to pray that God would do a great work in their hearts, and that they would indeed find the help that comes from Jesus.
Mario and Psalm

Mario (second) and Psalm (fourth) right after they got baptized.

After our last campus service, one of the students that Dan has been reaching felt an eagerness to get baptized. Everyone drove to the river around 10:30pm and took out their cell-phone flashlights to see into the water. But rather than Dan jumping in to begin the baptism, he called over Mario's best friends, who have been ministering to Mario for over a year. Dan instructed the friends on how to baptize Mario and gave a short message to all the students watching: when Jesus ascended into heaven, He gave us the Great Commission, which included baptizing people in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Dan explained that part of the way he disciples students is by training them to baptize others.

Mario was baptized in the river by his fellow college students. Yet almost immediately after he stood up, another student, Psalm, yelled out, "Wait! I've been praying about it for a long time, and I want to get baptized tonight, too."

Mario, who had been baptized less than five minutes before, turned around and baptized Psalm. Afterwards we celebrated and prayed over the two guys- we're truly seeing disciples make disciples at Texas State University!
We hope that you have a wonderful Thanksgiving, and it would be our joy to pray for you! Thank you for your partnership and prayer.

From our hearts,
Dan and Kristin
