What is a fly tying jam session you ask?

It is a relaxed and fun night for tyers of all levels of experience from beginner to expert to hang out, do some tying, share their favourite flies and techniques, and of course talk about fishing.

From intruders to classics, we'll be tying them all so come ready to share and learn!
 
LEARN FROM THE BEST!

We have an awesome lineup of expert tiers on hand to answer questions and teach some tricks of the trade.

Pacific Angler’s own resident professional tyer, Andre Stepanian will be here and as many of you know, he loves his classic flies. Andre will be keeping it old school and will be tying a traditional General Practitioner.
 
Scott Baker McGarva will be tying up a composite dubbing loop intruder! As a steelhead guide on the Skeena he knows a thing or two about what steelhead like in a fly.
 
Professional tyer Dennis Gamboa will be at the tying table demonstrating a couple of different flies including a new single egg pattern called the "El Gusano Spey" The Spey Worm.
 
 

Josh Wolfe will also be in the house tying some of his favourite steelhead tube flies that produced for him on the Nass, Damdochax and the Skeena. 
 
Scott Norris will also be joining us, you can sit down with Scott and he will show you how he tackles some of his favourite classic style patterns. 
 
Last but not least Ben Gehrke from Lagurtaan will be here tying some of his go-to steelhead patterns!
