Holiday Charity!

The MDWC has adopted the
Richmond Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children (CASA)
as our holiday charity this year!

Richmond CASA recruits, trains, and supervises competent and dedicated volunteers who advocate for the needs of abused, neglected, and at-risk children in juvenile dependency proceedings. By advocating for children in court cases, CASA volunteers promote safe, permanent homes for all children and seek to educate the community about the needs of abused and neglected children.

The MDWC will donate $250 to the Richmond CASA organization.
We are asking our interested members to donate any of the following:
  • Diapers in All Sizes, Including Preemie
  • Baby Wipes
  • Bottles
  • Baby Formula
  • Sippy Cups
  • Crib Sheets and Blankets (New or Gently Used)
  • Sheets in Twin, Double, and Queen Size (New or Gently Used; If Used, Please Label the Size)
Any level of donation is greatly appreciated!!!

Please bring your donation(s) to the December 21st meeting/holiday pot luck.

What's your favorite thing about living in the Museum District?
There is so much I love about the Museum District/Richmond!!!  In the summer I love going to the river.  During the Fall or the Spring I love going to Maymont Park.  I can never get tired of going to the Byrd Theater, ha ha even if the seats are uncomfortable. Anytime of the year it's fun to go to the VMFA.  I also love walking and biking all over town.  Free Yoga at the Carillon is very cool.
