The faithfulness and kindness of the Lord
Since leaving for Peru on Saturday and arriving on Sunday we have seen the Lord answer many prayers. First, our travels went very well and the kids did great. Since arriving we have been staying with a local pastor and his family here and they have been very hospitable and it has been fun to get to know them and learn some intricacies of Peruvian Spanish and culture.
Perhaps two of the biggest answers to prayer are the following: 1) We found a house that had everything on our wish list the very first day we were here! This is a small miracle :). We are currently in the process of finalizing the contract while they get it ready for us to move into, Lord willing, on November 15. The rent is even less than we had anticipated it would be. 2) We have found a language tutor that will work with our whole family. We will start that up once we are settled into our house.
Thus far, the kids are adjusting very well even in the midst of a lot of transition and living in a house with another family. We are extremely thankful for this! We are also thankful for all the help we have received from a fellow missionary family - the Killilays who have been tremendous.
Now we will begin the process of buying all the necessary items to furnish our home and make it functional to live in. This should be an adventure for us.
Finally we want to thank everyone who prays for us and partners with us financially because we have seen the Lord move in mighty ways in response for your prayer and we could not be here to fulfill the ministry of training and mobilizing Peruvian church leaders for the advance of the Kingdom without you.
