Paint 2 colors: well, okay, it's not onion skins, but we did this in a class and it is painted blue on one side and yellow on the other. This is the Sandbox style.

The year has just flown! SAFF is behind us, Thanksgiving is around the corner, and holidays are not far behind.
Thinking about gifts? The woven (nui) shibori scarves are very easy to make and to give. Instructions are on my YouTube channel, and the easiest dye is onion skins. Just boil some up, they are available year-round. Ask your grocer if you can harvest some.
Did I already tell you? The finish on Dye-Lishus® cotton is easily removed in seconds by dipping fiber, yarn, or fabric in a solution of 1 part ethyl or isopropyl alcohol to 2 parts water, then rinsing. No heat necessary, and you can prepare your Dye-Lishus® cotton for dyeing in minutes.
Have fun!
