Recently, we have had several "near misses" reported to our office where students were almost hit by drivers who are not following the parking lot, drop-off and pick-up expectations. We would like to send a gentle reminder to all families of the following procedures:
Drive no faster than 20 KPH;
No stopping in front of the school entrance to drop students off OR to pick them up;
No stopping in the laneways to or from the church parking lot;
Drop-off & pick-up are at the back of the school ONLY;
The front lot is for parking ONLY;
Refrain from using the handicapped parking stalls to wait for your children;
Be patient and considerate to staff, supervisors and each other as you enter and exit the drop-off/pick-up area at the back of the school.
If you have grandparents or daycare providers who drop off or pick up your children, please make them aware of these safety procedures.
