Just a reminder that donors can increase their contributions to the Lafayette PTA by simply asking their employer to match their gift. Employers like Microsoft, Boeing, the Gates Foundation, Starbucks, Bank of America and many others have active matching gift programs. It takes just a few extra moments to notify the employer of the donation. Last year, Lafayette received over $10,000 from employer matching gift programs, which helped the PTA financially support roles like the Health Assistant, Classroom Tutors, School Counselor, Lunchroom Assistant, Playground Supervisor, and so much more. Every dollar counts!
You’ve been to Curriculum Night and seen all of those volunteer signup lists – many of us will be donating our time for volunteer activities throughout the year. Be sure to check with your employer to find out if your company matches your volunteer hours with cash grants. For example, Microsoft and Gates Foundation employees can earn $25 for each hour of volunteer work at Lafayette. It’s a great way to further the PTA’s mission, with little extra effort!
