From the Executive Director
We want to thank everyone who attended and participated in the USU Urban Track at the 129th Annual USU/APLU Meeting in Austin, TX. The panels on Disruptive Change & Scaling what works, Off-Campus Community Safety Partnerships and Building a More Diverse Scientific Workforce really demonstrated the depth and scope of work USU engages in.
The Turning Points; From Setbacks to Success competition and conference session, a partnership with APLU and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, was a tremendous success. Congratulations to the winners, Morgan State University, University of Memphis, and Western Michigan University, for sharing their stories. Congratulations also goes to Jackson State University, University of Arizona, and University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, which won honorable mention in the competition.
Save the date for the USU Summer Meeting on July 20 - 21, 2017. Next year we will be in Atlanta, GA co-hosted by Georgia State University. More details will be coming soon. We look forward to seeing you there for the exciting new agenda!
