Notice of the 2016 Annual General Meeting of the Women Lawyers’ Association of NSW to be held at the Union, University & Schools Club, 25 Bent Street, Sydney at 5.30pm on Tuesday 22nd November 2016.
You are receiving this as a current financial Individual Member, Life Member or the noted Official Delegate and/or Main Contact of a current Corporate Member.
Nominations are invited for the following Executive Committee positions:
- President
- Vice President
- Secretary
- Treasurer
- Nine Ordinary Committee Members

I encourage you to nominate yourself or another member for a position on the Executive Committee. We would like to have a good representation of our membership base and would be pleased to receive interest from members of the judiciary, academics and senior lawyers to bring additional experience to the management committee. A Nomination Form is attached for this purpose.
If you are unable to attend in person I encourage you to vote using the attached Proxy Form. This form must be submitted in writing and received by the Secretary no later than 2 business days prior to the meeting, that is, by 5.00pm on 18th November 2016. The Secretary can be contacted care of the Executive Officer at our office, whose contact details are noted below.
To further assist with administration, I would be grateful if you would submit your Nomination/s (together with biographical details and an election platform not exceeding 100 words) by 18th November 2016, and advise Kathryn McKenzie, Executive Officer, if you will be attending the AGM. Our AGM will be followed by our Christmas Cocktail event as detailed in the invitation. Please note that although Corporate Members only have 1 vote, their staff are welcome to attend the AGM, and Christmas Cocktails which is also open to non-members.
