The Market
The fast paced market from early in the year has reverted to a steady pace.  We have seen the number of sales decline drastically and benchmark prices have stayed steady or slightly drop over the last 3 months. 

In Greater Vancouver, the benchmark prices for Detached homes dipped slightly to $1,545,800, Townhouses to $669,200 and Condo’s increased to $512,300.  In the Fraser Valley, the benchmark prices for Detached homes were $872,100, Townhouses $421,300 and Condo’s $254,300.

The number of sales in Greater Vancouver in October were 2,233, down from 2,253 in September and 3,646 from October 2015.  In the Fraser Valley, sales were 1,463, increasing from Septembers 1,305.  Year of year the sales have been in decline since July, however the prices for homes have not seen the big drop as the sales have.
 
The Lower Mainland continues to be a popular place to live, and in the long run, will always be a prime real estate market in the world.
