Fearing climate change? Let's do something about it.

Announcing a brand-new round of the Biomimicry Global Design Challenge - Climate Change: Reversal, Adaptation, and Mitigation. With this new theme, we're mobilizing students and professionals around the world to look to our planet’s living systems to help solve the greatest issue of our time—climate change.

Use nature-inspired design to create solutions to address energy consumption, greenhouse gas emissions, food systems, transportation, water management, coastal communities, fossil fuel usage, and more.

Design your best nature-inspired solution to help solve our climate change crisis and you could win cash prizes and a chance to compete for the Ray C. Anderson Foundation $100,000 Ray of Hope Prize™.

New biomimicry science curriculum available now!

Earlier this year, the Biomimicry Institute teamed up with EcoRise Youth Innovations on a new biomimicry-based science curriculum for high school.

We’re thrilled to announce that this resource is now available!
Biomimicry and Science: Applying Nature’s Strategies reinforces core content in chemistry, physics, and biology using examples from nature and bio-inspired design as a framework.

Purchase the entire 22-lesson Biomimicry and Science curriculum here. Through December 31, use coupon code Bioneers2016 to receive the curriculum plus access to one year of the online support package for just $149 (normally $248).

You can also download the free Design Challenge Module here which can be used independently or to support participation in the Biomimicry Global Design Challenge.

Biomimicry basics and beyond

Online course

Learn how to apply biomimicry to any challenge, whenever and wherever you are. In this self-paced, online course, instructor Denise DeLuca will show you a step-by-step method for turning nature's strategies into innovative solutions for human problems. You’ll not only learn the "what" and "why" of biomimicry, you’ll learn how to apply the Biomimicry Design Spiral to solve technical and non-technical problems. Register here.

This course is approved by the GBCI for 4 CEUs.
