Walktober winners announced!
The Consulting Ramblers team from Bairnsdale Regional Health Service are the 2016 East Gippsland Walktober Corporate Challenge champions. Well done to the winning team, and all Walktober participants. All team participants completed an average of over 150 minutes each, which is in line with the Australian physical activity guidelines. A fantastic effort!

Victorian public health and wellbeing outcomes framework
The outcomes framework provides a comprehensive set of public health and wellbeing outcomes, indicators, targets and measures for our major population health and wellbeing priorities and their determinants. Where data is available, the outcomes framework also enables assessment of health and wellbeing inequalities.

Implementing the Victorian Public Health and Wellbeing Plan 2015–2019: taking action - the first two years
This document summarises the major initiatives commenced or due to commence across the Victorian Government and major government agencies during the first two years of the health and wellbeing plan (until 2017).

This comprehensive list includes information on East Gippsland Shire Grants and other local and national opportunities across a broad range of categories.

Gippsland Primary Health Network - small grants applications open
Grants are available for community based health promotion activity and after hours GP innovation. Applications close 30 November.

Volunteer grants program - Department of Social Services
$1,000-$5,000 grants available to support volunteers who help disadvantaged communities and encourage social inclusion of vulnerable people. Applications close 20 December.

Certificate IV in Dementia Practice

What do rural and regional Victorians think about their local area and physical activity?
This survey by 3 leading Australian universities aims to assist planners and developers to design environments that enable healthy lifestyles. All adults who live outside of metropolitan areas are encouraged to participate.
