We are ready to lead ❯

Australia’s ratification of the Paris Agreement on climate change is perfect timing, as international leaders gather for the COP22 climate change conference in Marrakech this week. With a new strategic plan, the Green Building Council of Australia is also in implementation mode. We have set four new goals, the first of which is to drive a carbon positive industry.

The Green Globe Awards celebrate leadership in sustainability, and we were proud to see many of our member organisations nominated for awards. We were especially pleased to see Frasers Property Australia win the Built Environment category for the Fairwater project, and BlueScope Steel accept the 10 Year Sustainability Achievement award. Read more.

New efficient Green Star certification process

The GBCA is pleased to announce a new streamlined process for Green Star certification registration effective 1 December 2016. We have moved to an online process to improve the Green Star certification application experience and the time to register projects.  Click here to read more about the updates.
