Happy Holidays Everybunny!

We hope you are enjoying a beautiful holiday season! We have accomplished so many things together this year! We wanted to share some highlights, and let everyone know about upcoming events. Read on for details.

Willow, Wanda, Hodor, and Charlotte are a few of the bunnies we have helped this year.

A Few Highlights from 2016

This has been an amazing year for helping rabbits! We helped with the small animal programs at the SPCA of Wake County and the Wake County Animal Center. We also worked with neighboring counties and rescue partners to move rabbits into programs with available space. So far in 2016, we have been able to help 103 rabbits from 13 different groups! This is all possible because of you, all our supporters, rescue partners, and volunteers. We have helped so many animals together this year!

We are official! Triangle Rabbits was accepted as the central North Carolina Chapter of the House Rabbit Society. We are pleased to be part of such a great organization!

Rabbit Day and BunFest have grown again! We welcomed some new rescue groups to our events this year and hosted our first event classes. In February 2017 we will be celebrating the 10th anniversary of Rabbit Day! Be on the lookout for details about our anniversary celebration!

AniMall’s Happy Holiday Tails Celebration!

We will be participating in AniMall’s third annual holiday party and fundraiser on Sunday December 4, from 1pm-5pm. We will have a wonderful Holiday Boutique with lots of new, fun toys for your bunny, including Busy Benches, Busy Mats, and toss toys! Our Boutique will also feature handmade gifts including knits, one-of-a-kind jewelry, teacher gifts, and stocking stuffers. Support rescue in the Triangle with your holiday shopping!

Extreme Bun Makeover: A Special Holiday Giving Campaign

This year we are dedicating our holiday giving campaign to helping the small animals at the Wake County Animal Center. In 2016, WCAC has helped over 200 small animals! The small animal room at the shelter needs an update, and we want to help.

The funds we raise through our Extreme Bun Makeover campaign will be used to purchase two new shelving units on wheels that are wide enough to hold large cages, and will also be used to store supplies like food and hay. We will also purchase two new cage enclosures that can be used for rabbits or guinea pigs during their time at the shelter. The new cages will replace two worn, smaller ones.

As a special bonus, Deposit A Gift will donate their platform fee back to our campaign for all donations on Giving Tuesday, November 29! Thank you for considering us in your end of year giving! We are a 501c3 non-profit organization, and all donations are tax deductible.

Thinking about Volunteering? We need you!

Foster! Unfortunately the holiday season is a busy time at the shelter, and foster homes are especially needed. Triangle Rabbits is partnered with the SPCA of Wake County for fostering rabbits and other small animals. The commitment is usually short-term, two to eight weeks. If you can open your home for a few weeks this holiday season, please drop us a note.
Be a Bunny Butler! You can help at AniMall by supervising bunny exercise time so the foster rabbits have a chance to get out and stretch their legs. Volunteers also bring fresh salad for our foster rabbits.
Drive the Bunny Taxi! Can a bunny bum a ride? We provide Bunny Taxi service for rabbits to/from the SPCA and Avian and Exotic Animal Care for spay/neuter surgery. Volunteer times are either 8-11am or 4-6pm, once or twice a month. You must be a registered volunteer with the SPCA

Email us at info@trianglerabbits.org to sign up for any of these activities.

Foster Update! Miss Mazie is ready for a home of her own!

Remember Mazie, the little bunny that came to us with head tilt from a local emergency clinic? She is doing great and ready to find a family. She has finished all her medication, has been spayed, and is only has a slight head tilt now. We love her "curious" look, and it certainly suits her personality! She loves attention, and wants to be your TV buddy. To meet her, contact us at adopt@trianglerabbits.org.
Thank you for sharing part of your year with us!
