During the 18.5 years I spent making a living as a caricature artist, you think I would have written and recorded at least one song about it. I tried to on a few occasions, but all of them felt like pale imitations to the tracks featured on the 2005 6-song EP "Sketched Out" by Adam English of Ookla The Mok. Adam had 17 years of experience both as a caricature artist (one of the best in the country) and as a stand manager at amusement parks in New York state at the time he recorded that album. The specific ennui felt by all those whose fingers were stained by Pointed Nibbed Design Art Markers and Prismacolor Art Stix poured out in heartbreaking and hilarious songs with titles like "Ocean Of Idiots" and "The Day I Killed All The Customers". Adam kindly gave me permission to cover this track, my favorite from that EP, and post here it at the FuMP for all of you. Music & mixing by Austin Aeschliman of Smashy Claw.
