The Enrichment Economy
 
Eminent sociologists Luc Boltanski (author: The New Spirit of Capitalism and On Justification, Economies of Worth) and Arnaud Esquerre (author: La manipulation mentale: Sociologie des sectes en France) will presnet their forthcoming book on Thursday 17 November. 
 
The book, The Enrichment Economy, explores what the authors see as a new 'enrichment' form of capitalism, and its close associations with the luxury sector, heritage and collectible objects. 

The discussion will begin at 5pm in the Nissan Lecture Theatre, and all are welcome.




 
Wingwalking for MS


Cathy Ridge-Collins, a longstanding member of St Antony's Stewarding team, will be wingwalking on the 22 of April, 2017 in aid of the Multiple Sclerosis Society. 
 
In her own words: "I was diagnosed with MS in 2008, I am very lucky to have it very mild. I am doing a wing walk to raise money for the MS Society, and have a goal of £1,000."

Independence Day: Panel Discussion

On Friday 18 November, the Dahrendorf Programme for the Study of Freedom will be hosting a panel discussion titled: "INDEPENDENCE DAY! Did the British media enable voters to make an informed choice in the Brexit referendum?
 
Tinothy Garton Ash will be chairing the discussion which will be led by Billur Aslan (Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism), David Deacon (Loughborough University) and Caroline Lees (European Journalism Observatory). 
 
The panels will begin at 5pm, all are welcome.
