Not only is the exhibit hung it is called Up! Think open up, up and down, load up, act up, startup, wake up, let up, pull up, grown up, shake up, think up, meet up, fed up, mash up, onward and upward. Main Gallery: October 7 - December 24

12th Annual Holiday Boutique The gallery will be decked out for the holidays. Come pick out a one-of-a-kind hand made gift from our artists. We will have a colorful selection of ceramics, fused glass, mosaic, paper, fiber, and wood arts as well as beautiful jewelry. The gallery will be open from 11am-5pm Thursday through Sunday. Artisan Key Dates Online application sent to HolidayBoutique@FrankBetteCenter.org no later than November 16, 2015. Artist notification of accepted works no later than November 18th. Intake: Sunday November 20, 11am-5pm. Reception Friday December 9th from 7-9pm.
Get ready for the Secret Art Sale
We will soon begin soliciting pieces of 5 x 7 art (paintings, photographs, etc.) from a mix of students, Alameda celebrities and distinguished Artists. The pieces of art will be displayed anonymously (names will be on back) and sold throughout the show. The secret will be revealed at the end of the exhibition where the buyers (children, parents, artists, and serious collectors) will discover whether they have invested in a valuable piece of art from a well known artist or celebrity or a potential masterpiece from a student artist. This fundraiser will benefit the participating Alameda schools and the Frank Bette Art Center for Arts.
For those of you who participated in our First Annual Secret Art Sale in January, I do hope you will commit to this fun event again! To those of you who did not participate last year, please consider joining in the fun and raising money for Alameda School art programs. Last year we were able to raise funds for 11 participating Alameda schools!
