New Enabling Grant available from 1 December!
A new grant is being launched by Chichester District Council for small local businesses. £83,000 is available to support local district businesses with:
- small capital projects (match-funding of up to £2500)
- new or improved websites (match-funding of up to £2500)
- training for apprentices (match-funding of up to £1500)
The grant will target support for SME's who have up to 25 (FTE) employees. Eligibility Criteria, Guidance Notes and the Application Form will be available from 1 December. Further details are available in our press release. To register your interest ahead of time, please email us.
Changes to Business Rates
The Valuation Office Agency has reviewed business rates - you can check yours here. If your rateable value is below £12,000, you may be eligible for small business rate relief of 100%. You can get an estimate of your 2017-18 bill online here.
Want to be better connected?
Businesses in West Sussex are invited to apply to a new Broadband Connection Voucher Scheme to help support the installation of superfast broadband in areas not included in the BDUK rollout. Vouchers provide capital funding of £3,000 or up to 40% of the overall project cost, whichever is lower. Open to small and medium enterprises, applications can be submitted up to 1 February 2017 or until all the funding is allocated. Read more...
