" أيها الأخوة نحن تجار روحانيون فالنتشبه بالتجار العالميين ، فالتاجر يحسب كل يوم ربحه و خسارته ، فإن خسر يحرص ويهتم كيف يعوض خسارته ، كذلك أنت أيها الحبيب في كل صباح و مساء و غذاء تأمل كيف ترعى تجارتك ، و في كل عشية افحص قلبك و تفكر"

قصة أعجبتني
حكمة حصان
وقع حصان احدى المزارعين فى بئر مياه عميقة و لكنها جافة و بدأ الحصان في الصهيل من الألم اثر السقوط واستمر هكذا لعدة ساعات ,كان المزارع خلالها يبحث الموقف ويفكر كيف يستعيد الحصان .....؟ و لم يستغرق الأمر طويلاً كى يقنع نفسه بأن الحصان قد اصبح عجوزا و ان تكلفه استخراجه تقترب من تكلفه شراء حصان اخرهذا الى جانب ان البئر جاف منذ زمن طويل ,و يحتاج الى ردمه بأى شكل .و هكذا ..... , نادى المزارع الجيران وطلب منهم مساعدته فى ردم البئر , كى يحل المشكلتين فى آن واحد ,التخلص من البئر الجاف و دفن الحصان .و بدأ الجميع بالمعاونه والجواريف فى جمع الاتربه و النفايات ,والقائها فى البئر .فى بادئ الامر ادرك الحصان حقيقه ما يجرى ,حيث اخذ فى الصهيل بصوت عال يملؤه الألم وطلب النجدة . وبعد قليل من الوقت اندهش الجميع لانقطاع صوت الحصان فجأة ، و بعد عدد قليل من الجواريف ، نظر المزارع الى داخل البئر وقد صعق لما رأه ,فقد وجد الحصان مشغولاً بهز ظهره كلما سقطت عليه الاتربه فيرميها و يرتفع هو بمقدار خطوة واحدة لأعلى هكذا استمر الحال ،الكل يلقى النفايات الى داخل البئر فتقع على ظهرالحصان فيهز ظهره فتسقط على الارض حيث يرتفع خطوة الى أعلى و بعد الفترة اللازمه لملئ البئر ,اقترب الحصان من سطح الارض ,ثم قفز قفزة بسيطة وصل بها الى سطح الارض بسلام .
وبالمثل ، تلقى الحياه بأوجاعها واثقالها عليك ، ولكى تكون حكيماً عليك بمثل ما فعله الحصان حتى تتغلب عليها ، فكل مشكله تقابلنا هى بمثابة عقبة و حجر عثرة فى طريق حياتنا ،فلا تقلق لقد تعلمت كيف تنجو من اعمق آبار المشاكل بأن تنفض هذه المشاكل عن ظهرك وترتفع بذلك خطوة واحدة لأعلى.

Saint of the Week
The Departure of St. Cyriacus
On this day, the holy father, St. Cyriacus, departed. This striver was brought up in the city of Corinth in Greece. He was the son of Orthodox Christian parents, who taught him the church subjects. They brought him to Abba Peter, Bishop of Corinth, who was his cousin, and he ordained him a reader. Cyriacus read continually and searched in the interpretations of the Holy Scriptures until he surpassed many in it. Abba Peter appointed him to read to the people in the church and to him in his cell, and he was pleased with him.
When he was 18 years old, his parents asked him if he wished to marry, but he refused. He asked them for permission to visit one of the monasteries in order to be blessed by the saints therein. He continued to visit the monastery from time to time and he longed for the monastic garb.

قديس هذا الأسبوع
نياحة القديس كيرياكوس الكبير
في مثل هذا اليوم تنيح الاب القديس كرياكوس، وقد نشا هذا المجاهد في مدينة قورنثية ببلاد اليونان. ابنا لأبوين مسيحيين أرثوذكسيين. فأدباه بعلوم الكنيسة ثم قدماه إلى الاب بطرس أسقف قورنثيه. وهو ابن عمه، فرسمه اغنسطسا، فداوم علي القراءة والبحث في معاني أقوال الكتب الإلهية، حتى فاق فيها كثيرين، ورتب عليه الأسقف القراءة علي الشعب في الكنيسة، وعليه في القلاية. فكان مسرورا بهذا. ولما بلغ من العمر ثماني عشرة سنة، عرض عليه أبواه الزواج فأبى، وطلب منهما السماح له بزيارة أحد الأديرة للتبرك من القديسين الذين به، وداوم التردد علي الدير من وقت لأخر، فاشتاق إلى لباس الرهبنة، وذهب إلى أورشليم المقدسة واجتمع بالقديس كيرلس أسقفها وعرض عليه رغبته في الرهبنة، فاستصوب رأيه وتنبأ عنه بقوله "سيكون هذا أبا كبيرا ويقوم بمجهودات كثيرة وتستضئ بنور تعاليمه نفوس كثيرين"

Words with Meaning

- If air enters the electric lamp, it will be corrupted and won’t light again, same as if bad emotion enters the life of a spiritual person, he will corrupt and won’t light again.
- If rotten eggs are put in water, it will float same as the Pharisee in his religious, when put into temptation, his corruption floats to the surface.
- In order to save others from drowning, you must first be proficient in swimming.
- The day that you don’t do welfare, will be counter counted, so don’t consider it from the days of your life.
- Smiley face never misses the road to the heart.
- If you had a dream of an angel, or a saint, or even God himself, do not rejoice, this will not make you a saint, as God has appeared before to Pharaoh and Abimelech.
- Holiness is a gift we get on the day of the holy baptism, when we are anointed with the Holy Miron, since then, we become saints.. The problem that sometimes we put dust and impurity upon this holiness, and we loose it.

- القداسة منحة نحصل عليها يوم التدشين، أي يوم المعمودية المقدسة، والدهن بالميرون المقدس، ومنذ ذلك الوقت أصبحنا قديسين ... المشكلة أننا أحيانا نهيل التراب، والنجاسة، على هذه القداسة، فنفقدها.

New library resources for Community Language  Teachers
The Community Languages Collection was launched on Monday 31 October at the State Library of Western Australia (SLWA).
The collection is a new resource for language teachers, students and community members. It includes a range of specific language and generic learning materials which will help WA’s community language schools and other groups to deliver language education.
The comprehensive resource centre is being delivered by the State Library in partnership with the Office of Multicultural Interests (OMI).
To assist teachers to understand and access the collection, SLWA has organised orientation sessions.

The Department of Local Government and Communities (DGLC) is seeking feedback to inform the development of a new Volunteering Strategy to guide the community in the support and recognition of volunteers.
You are encouraged to share your views on the Volunteering Strategy Discussion Paper by completing a five-minute survey.

The Red Cross has developed a podcast called Connect, Learn, Share: Life In Australia.
This podcast is for young people from asylum seeker and refugee backgrounds, as well as newly-arrived migrants.
The podcast aims to provide more information about settling into the Australian community and is now being offered in the Farsi language.
