Jim Capaldo is a sought speaker and subject matter expert when it comes to local church outreach and global missions. Having a global array of local church outreach experiences, he and his family served eleven years to see a church planting movement launched and established among the formerly unreached Tuvan tribe of Siberian Russia. Besides this and other pastoral experiences, Jim also served for five years as the Outreach Pastor for ChangePoint, Alaska's largest church, and another two years as the Outreach Pastor of Central Church, one of South Dakota's largest churches, before being asked to serve in his present role of Executive Minister for the Converge Heartland District (formerly Baptist General Conference). Overall, Jim has been blessed to teach, preach and discuss varying elements of outreach in over 150 venues, worldwide. As an instructor for the Perspectives on the World Christian Movement, a ministry strategist and regular conference speaker, Jim will be sure to share the most practical and relevant information pertaining outreach, missions and the local church! Jim holds degrees from Baptist Bible College (Springfield), Western Seminary (Portland) and Novosibirsk State University (Russia).
