West Hatch High School offers 'Pathways to Success' at up-coming Sixth Form Open Evening
West Hatch High School Sixth Form offers the unique “Honours Programme: Pathways to success” at its up-coming Sixth Form Open Evening on Wednesday, November 9, from 6.30pm.
There will be talks given by Head Teacher Mrs Frances Howarth, Director of Sixth Form Ms Dina Sterlini, Head of Sixth Form Mrs Anjala Sharma and Sixth Form students William Harris (Head Boy from Year 13) and Daniella Benattar (a Senior Prefect from Year 12).
These will take place in the school hall at 6.40pm and 8pm.
Visitors will be able to tour the school and its Sixth Form facilities, and ask questions of students and staff.
Mrs Howarth said: “We are looking forward to welcoming all prospective Sixth Formers to West Hatch High School. We have a purpose built facility incorporating a common room, cafeteria and extensive study area. Our very experienced staff have an excellent track record of teaching at post GCSE going back over many years.”
Information on the wide range of courses on offer will be available with West Hatch offering a range of programmes for increased flexibility of opportunity.
The 'Honours Programme and Specialist Pathways' in partnership with Oxford University supports and develops students ready for Oxford, Cambridge and other Russell Group Universities.
In the last few years all of West Hatch's Sixth Form alumni students have achieved places at universities and on prestigious Higher Apprenticeships at renowned City institutions from KPMG to the Bank of England.
Last year the school recorded its best ever post-16 results with 58% of Year 13 students achieving A*, A and B grades and an overall pass rate of 99%.
We warmly invite you to attend our Open Evening to see why we are going from strength to strength!
Ms Dina Sterlini said: “We are looking forward to welcoming all Year 11 students from the local area who are considering post-16 study. We are a popular choice and demand for places is high following recognition of our exceptional results over the last few years.”
The deadline for applications for Sixth Form places for next September is January 27.
