"Showers of Gratitude"
Crow Island Community Outreach Project

 

Thanksgiving is just around the corner and all CI students are invited to participate in a fun service project.

On Thursday each child will receive a paper turkey "feather" to bring home. Kids should cut out their feather, decorate it and write on it someone, something (or many things!) that they are grateful for. They should bring their turkey feathers back to school on Monday 11/14 or Tuesday 11/15. As kids arrive to school on these days, they will glue their feathers onto a giant turkey cut-out in the hallway for all of the kids to see/read in the days leading up to Thanksgiving.

 Along with the feathers we hope our students donate either laundry detergent, shampoo or body wash to the New Trier Food Pantry. These items can be placed in bins outside of Dr. Pfeffer's office Monday 11/14 to Thursday, 11/17. Contact: Julie  julie.hartvigsen@gmail.com,

Teacher & Staff Gift Fund
Please Contribute By November 14
 

Thank you to everyone who has already contributed! This is our annual fund to support the amazing teachers and staff at Crow island. Your donations allow Room Parents to provide a generous holiday gift for your child's teacher and classroom associates, as well as personalized end-of-year gifts from the class. The fund provides gifts for associates who float between multiple classrooms as well as specials teachers, pupil services teachers and administrative staff who work with our children every day. Suggested contribution is $45 per student. Contribute today.

Save Your Receipts!  

Please remember to save your receipts each time you shop at the Grand.  Then, every month or so please drop your collected receipts in the designated box on Mrs. Badger’s desk.
