Annual Celebration Success
It was a fabulous night! Thank you to our attendees, table decorators, event supporters and sponsors, and Events and Membership Committees for supporting this event. Also, thank you to our guest speaker, Emily Smith, for encouraging all of us to continue our work as 'change agents' in our community. You can view Emily's speech here, and see the event photo gallery here.
Our Annual Educational Event
Please save the date for our 2017 Community Needs Forum. We are looking forward to learning more about nonprofit funding resources from El Dorado Community Foundation Executive Director, Bill Roby.

This event will take place at the Cameron Park Community Center, 2502 Country Club Drive, Cameron Park. Tickets go on sale December 19.
Positive Growth Brings Grant Cycle Updates
Good News! WFED now has 443 members! With our growth in membership and well-attended events, we have effectively outgrown most event venue options in our area. After some discussion, the Events Committee, together with the Cabinet, have decided to embrace the Forni Building at the Fairgrounds as our venue for both the Grants Gala and Annual Celebration.

What does this mean for our members? While this is good news, it does slightly alter our grants cycle. The date of our Grants Gala will now be the first week of May. To accommodate for a May Grants Gala, our 2017 grant ballot will be sent to the membership for voting on March 13th, 2017. All members current on their annual membership dues at the end of the day on March 12, 2017 will receive a 2017 grant ballot.

What does this mean for our nonprofit community? The WFED RFP (Request for Proposals) will be released on January 23, 2017. Our Bidder's Workshop will be held on February 1, 2017.
