MULTIPLY: QUALITY LIFE GROUPS
Hi, HIM Family! It's great to be able to communicate once again. We have had an exciting half year! I want to share with us about certain important aspects of our HIM family. We have prayed and we have come together to talk about goal 2020 and in the Year 2020, we are talking about multiplying our life groups, multiplying into many more countries, and multiplying into many more regions. Let me talk to us about “multiplying life groups”. In order to multiply our family of churches and the number of believers, one of the key areas is to multiply life groups.
We have set a goal to go beyond 4,000 life groups in the Year 2020.
We are touching about 2,000-2,500 life groups at the moment, and I really believe that if we invest into quality life groups, we are going to see multiplication happen. Many of our churches run life groups. When we look at Acts 2:42-47, they met in the public places, in the temple courts, but they also met in homes. I encourage us to focus on multiplying life groups – whether it be in our homes, cafés, even under the trees, in the shopping places... Brothers and sisters, we can multiply life groups.
We need to focus on “quality”. Quality means that there is life in those life groups – that people enjoy coming because there is a momentum, there is a dynamism, and that there is life, in the life group.
As they come, look at Acts 2 – their lives were being touched, people connecting together, relationships were being built. They shared lives and there was a quality in those life groups. So, in this message I want to communicate with us: look carefully at your life groups, look at the quality, and look at what is happening in those life groups. There are some life groups where there is no longer life in them – we are just surviving, we are just maintaining – that's not good! Church, let us look at developing quality life groups, and then we can multiply when we grow those qualities in our life groups.
