DUT AND INVOTECH COLLABORATE IN BIOGAS PROJECT

The Durban University of Technology in partnership with the Innovation Technology Business Incubator (Invotech) as well as the Technology Innovation Agency (TIA) launched a project that will promote the sustainability of sugarcane growers in this industry.

The Biogas Project is aimed at ensuring that growers have the enough equipment to become economically sustainable in the long run. The biogas plant produces gas that can be converted to energy that can supply electricity.

DUT STUDENT GROUP LENDS HELPING HAND TO FELLOW STUDENTS

A group of Public Relations students from DUT have started an organisation aimed at funding financially disadvantaged students within the University.

The group: PR Dynamic Minds, is a non-profit organisation that was founded in August last year (2015). At the time (2015), the group of students were in their first year of study and was formed after realising the financial challenges faced by some students.

LIFE AFTER IDOLS FOR DUT’S SANELE MKHIZE

The Durban University of Technology (DUT) has its very own talented singer Sanele Mkhize who is a second-year Ecotourism Management student.

Mkhize raised the DUT flag high when he made it to the Top 10 of SA Idols 2016 competition.

Born in Ntuzuma, 21-year-old Mkhize is a worship leader and motivational speaker to his fellow peers.
