 Red light issue

Since the release of iOS 10, some GymAware users have been experiencing a red light lock up during sessions. We have looked into this and it was found to be an issue with Bluetooth from the iOS side.

Our programmers have been working on a fix with Apple and we are pleased to announce the problem is fixed in the release of iOS 10.2. This iOS release should be available by the end of the month, however, Apples shroud of mystery remains and there is no fixed date on the release.

We do have a solution - for those who can sign up to public betas here:
https://beta.apple.com/sp/betaprogram/
They will need to register their apple ID and then be able to install 10.2 via the normal software update in iOS.

For those who can't install betas, we recommend all phones in the area have their Bluetooth switched off; the red light is due to a buffer overrun of bluetooth requests.

If the red light lock up occurs, the quickest way to fix the issue is to performa 'Soft Reset' on the PowerTool. The unit will need to be re-connected and re-zeroed so make sure the tether is fully retracted.

Please reach out to us if you have any further questions. We have to say that finding a bug in an apple iOS gives some serious nerd satisfaction. Time for them to Lift their Game!

SOFT RESET:

 THE 'G' SPOT

Occasionally your PowerTool will get upset - the device may have become unresponsive with LED's on, or you may have auto-connected to the wrong iOS device. Maybe its just having a bad day. In any case, performing a soft reset should do the trick.

Simply place the magnet in the silicon sleeve directly under the "G: of "GymAware" - this will prompt the unit to disconnect; you will hear 4 beeps!
