Mitzvah Day 2016 with Shira!

For many in our kehilla, Leonard Cohen was far more than a musician. He was a poet and and inspiriation whose words helped us understand our sacred texts, and whose music accompanied us in our rags of light on the chagim. This evening will be a wonderful opportunity for us to gather and sing some of his most famous tunes performed by our very own Shira Band.
When: Sunday 4 Decemeber, 7.30pm - 10.30pm
Where: 33 Halstead St, Caulfield North
There will also be guest performances from Sophie Klein of Little Wise and Lauren Gleser.

Mitzvah Day is fast approaching. On Sunday 27 November, head down to Shira between 10am-12pm to donate any educational resources e.g. board games, learning books, activity books, puzzles and more. During this time some packing help would also be appreciated.
All donations will be going to underprivileged students in Southern India, allowing them an equalized opportunity to grow and prosper in education as we do here in the Jewish community!
