Update on RUST/Working Bee Team this week
A large amount of work was undertaken on the slips this week (during our once in 70 years full moon period which produced very low tides) in order to make it easier to get the ribs in/out of the water. This included:
  • a lot of water blasting and scraping particularly on the face of the platforms
  • moving a lot of rocks from in front of the whole decking
  • antifouling planks on the edge of the platforms and about a meter on the ramps
  • a conduit was then created, strengthened with concrete, and
  • the boat locker ramp was cleaned and temporarily repaired
Thanks to the huge efforts from the RUST (Retired or Unemployed Support Team) and other Volunteers including Jack Winning, John Hayward, Brett Phillips Glenn Farquhar, Michael Madin;Kris Romuld, Ollie Hartas and Claudette Rones. Your efforts are much appreciated.
RSA Courses Training - Sunday 11th December
As a condition of our licence to serve alcohol at the Club we must have volunteers who have a current Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate. An RSA Competency Card is similar to a Driver Licence and NSW photo card and is evidence that you are allowed to work in the liquor industries. Your RSA is valid for 5 years. So if yours is out-of-date or you simply don't have one, here's the chance to get qualified.

We will be conducting an RSA Training Course on the 11 Dec.running from 10.00 am to approx. 2.30 pm.

Cost: $110 per person, paid on the day. If you subsequently volunteer to do a minimum of 3 canteen shifts where you can assist with your RSA credentials, the Club offers to refund the full $110 if requested.

XMas Hamper Time!
Over the next 2 weeks we are asking for donations so we can make up XMas hampers to be raffled at the 10 Dec Xmas Dinner. There will be boxes on display near the Canteen, so please dig deep and donate something. All proceeds of the raffle go toward maintaining the Club and the LTS fleet.
