Mount Carmel uses single sign on successfully to access CliniSync!

Single Sign On a success at Mount Carmel Health System

Mount Carmel Health System is the first hospital member of CliniSync to use a new functionality -- Single Sign On -- to access a patient's Community Health Record without leaving the health system's EHR.

Single Sign On not only allows physicians and clinicians to streamline their workflow and access patient health information quickly, it also allows them to  pull up a single longitudinal record that captures data from different hospitals and sources on that patient.

Mount Carmel Health System's Chief Clinical Information Officer Dr. Jay Wallin provides use cases so you can see exactly how you can use this functionality in your practice or facility.

Here is the case study, Single Sign On speeds up access to outside patient health records on our website.

Here is the Single Sign On Fact Sheet..

If you're interested in Single Sign On, please email us at information@clinisync.org or fill out our request to Sign Up for Services on our website.

12/7 webinar on final Hospital Outpatient Prospective Payment System webinar

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Nov. 1 issued the final Hospital Outpatient Prospective Payment System, or OPPS, rule implementing the provider-based reimbursement changes of the Bipartisan Budget Act of 2015.

OHA and Bricker and Eckler, LLP are hosting an informational webinar from noon to 1 p.m. on Dec. 7 to help hospitals understand these changes and their implications. Shannon DeBra, Claire Turcotte and David Johnson of Bricker and Eckler will discuss the critical issues impacting hospitals that are currently operating or planning to open off-campus provider-based locations, including adding new services, relocation, and changing ownership.  In addition, the webinar will cover the final rule’s method for payment for services furnished in non-excepted off-campus provider-based departments in 2017.

Registration is required to participate and the cost is $125 for representatives of OHA member hospitals and $175 for non-members. For additional information about the webinar and to register, click here
