Mercy Within Mercy Talk

As the Jubilee Year of Mercy comes to a close, Fr. Joe Corpora, C.S.C., will share with students how to carry on the Year of Mercy in our daily lives after the conclusion of the Holy Year during a discussion on Wednesday, Nov. 16 at 6:30 p.m. in the Coleman-Morse Center First-floor Student Lounge. Last year, Fr. Joe was one of approximately 100 priests from the U.S. selected to work with Pope Francis as a Missionary of Mercy. Fr. Joe will speak about his experience and what it takes to be a missionary of mercy for each other. A reception will follow at 7:30 p.m.

Christ for the Curious

Join us for the next session in the Christ for the Curious series to discuss the life of Jesus and its relevance to our lives today. The Wednesday, Nov. 16 discussion will center on feeding the hungry and will feature Ben Wilson with the Center for Social Concerns. Sessions are held on Wednesdays from 7 to 8 p.m. in the Coleman-Morse Center St. Andre Room. The series is designed for everyone, including those new to Christianity and others simply looking for a refresher. View the full schedule here

SEXuality and Faith

Join Campus Ministry and the Gender Relations Center for Part Three in the SEXuality and Faith Series. The third and final session will be held this Thursday, Nov. 17 at 7 p.m. in the Coleman-Morse Center First-floor Student Lounge and will feature Josh and Stacey Noem. The Noems will present, "What's Right for this Relationship?" Where do we draw the line in our intimate relationships? What lines? Why are we even talking about lines? There is no LINE. There are only right relationships. All are welcome to attend.
 

ND for Syria Prayer Service

This week, Student Government will celebrate ND for Syria Week through a series of events intended to promote awareness of the current conflict and solidarity with suffering Syrians. Tomorrow, Wednesday, Nov. 16, Campus Ministry will co-sponsor a prayer service at the Grotto from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m. Together we will pray for an end to violence in Syria. The service will include prayer in Arabic. All are welcome to attend. 

 

Concert for the Missions

The University of Notre Dame Folk Choir will hold a free concert on Friday, Nov. 18 at 8 p.m. in the Basilica of the Sacred Heart to benefit the educational, peace-building, medical and religious efforts of the Holy Cross Missions in Africa. The 23rd annual Concert for the Missions will take place the Friday prior to the home football game against Virginia Tech. There is no admission for the concert, but a free-will offering will be taken for Holy Cross Missionary work in Uganda.


 

Holy Land Pilgrimage

Over Spring Break 2017, Campus Ministry will lead a pilgrimage to the Holy Land. Students will explore the wonders of the Holy Land. including the cities of Bethlehem, Nazareth and Jerusalem, and experience Biblical sites such as the Sea of Gailee, Mount Tabor and the Garden of Gethsemane. The pilgrimage will depart of Saturday, March 11 and return on Sunday, March 19. The deadline to apply is Nov. 20. Learn more and apply here
