“I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” -Jesus (Matt 16:18b).
It is hard to believe that we are in mid-November of 2016! This year has flown by and Thanksgiving and Christmas are only around the corner. As a church plant we are encouraged by the grace of God in and through us as Christ builds His church here in Naperville. Thank you all for praying, giving, and encouraging us as we strive to plant a gospel-centered church for the glory of God. Included in this newsletter are some updates from the past month and ways you can be praying us in the month ahead (including AFTERNOON AT MUSEUM, FEED MY STARVING CHILDREN, CHRISTMAS OUTREACH, HOW CAN I HELP?).

Afternoon at the Museum

This past month we hosted an event called “Afternoon at the Museum.” Since our church plant meets at the DuPage Children’s Museum—a venue that is great and has been so good to work with—we wanted to invite people to church and give them an opportunity to explore the museum with their family afterward. We also had a potluck lunch immediately after the service. Overall, it went really well! We had unbelievers in attendance who heard the gospel (the sermon was on Romans 1:16 “Unashamed of the Gospel”), new families visited, some people from our meetup ministry were there, and everyone in our church did an AMAZING job of welcoming new people in and showing hospitality. This was also one of our biggest Sundays attendance-wise. Please pray for the seeds sown and the new relationships built.
