Stop at Crosswalks

Parents, be sure to watch for crosswalk areas in Vista Ridge and stop if there are students waiting to cross.  In particular, there is a crosswalk at Skyline and Azalea, and we have a large number of students who cross at this location. There is concern about student safety, and cars not stopping when children are entering the crosswalk.  Remember that pedestrians have the right of way.

Spark Change is underway!


This year our students have chosen several non-profits they would like to help including: Erie Uplink, Make a Wish Colorado, Colorado Haiti Project, Alzheimer's Association, Colorado Saint Bernard Rescue, and Africa Network for Animal Welfare USA. Please help us by encouraging your child to gather coins to bring in. Every cent makes a difference! Collecting will end after Thanksgiving break, on November 30th. This is a chance for students to reach out to family members over break and talk about Black Rock's Spark Change program. Thank you for your help and support as we teach students about giving and philanthropy. We are helping to make change in the world both locally and globally.

Black Rock Gives Back is next month!

Our 9th annual holiday food drive and caroling will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 6th from 5:30 - 7:00 pm.

To ease congestion, food drop-off and caroling will be by last name.  We ask families to attend at the following times if at all possible:

Last name A - J:  food drop-off from 5:30 - 6:15 PM (with caroling at 5:45 pm)

Last name K - Z:  food drop-off from 6:15 - 7:00 PM (with caroling at 6:30 pm)

"Black Rock Gives Back," our 9th annual holiday food drive to benefit the Erie Community Food Bank will be held on Tuesday, Dec 6th from 5:30 - 7:00 pm. We are requesting cookie donations for our teachers and staff to serve to our families that evening. If you sign up for a cookie donation, we request two dozen cookies (store-bought or homemade) to be dropped off to the front office on Monday, Dec. 5th or Tuesday, Dec. 6th by 4pm. Thank you for your support!

Yearbook Orders begin after Thanksgiving


The ordering information for the yearbook will be sent home in students Thursday folders after the Thanksgiving break.   

The cost of the book will be $25 and will be purchased through Studio 5. 
 
 
We are so lucky at Black Rock to have incredible businesses that support us. Please help us return the favor by supporting their businesses!
