2017 March Gladness Slogan
"Building Unity by Serving our Community"
Community Spotlight
Meet Calvin Breamfield!
He is one of the most dedicated community members you will ever meet. He not only tutors 2 students for an hour every week, but he coaches a boys and girls 5th/6th grade basketball team at Karshner Elementary and helps out during recess at Woodland Elementary. He does all this while going to school  and being an active member at his church, South Hill Baptist. Calvin is a true example of what it means to serve others. Thank you Calvin for everything you do for our students and the community that surrounds them. You are a valued volunteer that we are so thankful for!

Fall Highlights
FRED MEYER FOOD PACKING
We packed over 1,200 bags of food at Fred Meyer in October that will be donated to students that participate in our Weekend Backpack program. Visit Fred Meyer on River Road and support our students by purchasing a bag for donation.
MARCH GLADNESS
The March Gladness Team volunteered at five Family Engagement Nights at Stewart, Karshner, and Pope elementary schools. They served dinner and watched kids while parents learned what their students are being taught and the best ways to support their learning.
CLEAN OUT YOUR POCKETS
We are so thankful for Lenny and David from the Washington State Fair for taking our bus to the shop and giving it a brand new look. Come visit the bus at the South Hill Mall in the food court and support Communities In Schools of Puyallup with any loose change or bills.
