Holiday Newsletter 2016

2016 is quickly coming to a close!

This has been a great year at Youth Connections!  We celebrated our 40th year helping communities of Johnson and Morgan Counties. We celebrated our birthday with our Breakfast of Champions in May.  We moved to a new office space in August that is closer to a park for our families to enjoy.  We had a lot of events including two Dine to Donates at local restaurants, parades, and  held our new Jumpstart Quest Camp.  Thanks to everyone that helped with these events!
We hope you will continue to support us in the new year as we have a lot of exciting things on the horizon.  We want to share some of the activities we have going on now and hope you enjoy our newsletter.
Happy Holidays!

Youth Connections is holding its First Online Auction!  We have many great items to help in your holiday shopping!  Please click the picture above to view all the items we have available!

Thank you Smithville Foundation!

Youth Connections received a $10,000 grant from the Smithville Foundation!  This grant will help us expand our Jumpstart Mentoring and STEM program in Morgan County.  The grant will provide supplies for STEM and help us organize field trips as well as special presentators for the students.

Our Childrens Visitation Center has been busy.  Families love our new office being so close to Blue Heron Park and our new white board wall has been very popular.

UPCOMING EVENTS

Breakfast of Champions
May 24th
Details and speaker will be announced soon!

New Program coming in 2017!
In 2017 we will be educating the community on the problem of human trafficking! This issue is becoming more prevalent in our communities.  How to identify a victim is difficult.  What questions should you ask? What do the words "force, fraud, or coercion" mean?  Answers will be provided as we develop policies for this serious program.
Families In Transition has new hours for 2017.  The Saturday classes will now be held from 8-12.  The Thursday classes will now be offered monthly.  For class dates please see the Youth Connections website calendar.
