Democracy: Let's Put It To A(nother) Vote

The messy thing about democracy is that it doesn't always work out the way you wanted it to. Or it did (*shrug* You weirdo). Which is why, we're proposing, to finally bring it to a(nother) vote. Now is your chance, to have your voices heard (again). Although maybe it kind of worked out, depending on your politics. We are, of course, talking about the greatest match up in history. It all goes down this Saturday: meet at midnight at the docks.

That's right: November 19th, 13 years to the day. What a night. At the time we remember being surprisingly upset by the results, or at least confused. It just seemed mean that Shannon was then defined by a solid performance of What About Me? (Actually, holy crap, watch the announcement video again.)

Certainly, after 12 years, Guy's Eurovision performance totally nailed it and we all nodded and said "Yes. We are proud of you, Guy." Any semblance of cynicism and irony went out the window at that point. And here we are. Everything is gonna be fine, everyone. Sometimes, the world just works itself out.
Did anything else happen in the news recently?

- We of the CPL
PS: Come to think of it, this is a really good idea. On Saturday, just post #imwithguy or #imwithshannon, maybe a video of your favourite performance. Let's get this trending!
