Christmas in the Cape
Think ahead to Christmas 2017 - you could stay home, cooking for the in-laws and turning up the heating as you try to think up yet another indoor activity that will keep the children entertained, or you could be soaking up the sun, exploring new places and generally being wined and dined in the Cape. Now is absolutely the time to book if you want your pick of accommodation and the best deal on flights when they are released. South Africa still offers good value with the weakened pound but wait until January to book and you risk missing out on your hotel choices as everyone rushes to book their 2017 stint in the sun. As a little Christmas gift, for any bookings to Cape Town made by 23rd December 2016, we'll treat you to a cable-car ride to the top of Table Mountain!
Top tip: as the foodie capital of South Africa, there is a smorgasbord of top-notch restaurants, rivaling any in London, but book well in advance to avoid disappointment. Just ask - we're happy to make recommendations as part of our service.
Go to: the top of Table Mountain - it's an absolute must and best done on your first day as it's a great way to get your bearings after the fun of the revolving cable-car ascent.
Stay: admittedly you are spoilt for choice in Cape Town, but we have a particular soft spot for The Vineyard. It's not just the name that appeals - with an amazing pool, beautiful gardens, oodles of space to roam and great rates which don't skyrocket during Peak Season, it's a winner all round. Oh and did we mention there are giant tortoises roaming the grounds and complimentary weekly wine tastings?!
